REGISTRATION

When do registrations close? Can I register on Saturday, 20 July or Sunday, 21 July 2024?Subject to availability, registrations can be made online up until the morning of the event on Sunday, 21 July. However, we highly recommend registering in advance. All registrations must be made online as we do not accept in-person registrations.
What are the age group categories?Age group categories for the 3km and 8km are as follows: 12 and under, 13 to 16, Open (17 and over). There are no age categories for the bike ride.
Is a child U16 or 16 years and under?A child is 16 years and under.

COURSES

Where are the start and finish lines?The 44km bike ride starts at Pipeliner Park in Esk, the 8km run starts at Clock Park, Lowood and the 3km run starts at Forest Hill Fernvale Road, Vernor. 
When does each event start?The 8km and 3km events start at 9:00am from their respective locations, and finishes at Fernvale Sports Park, Brouff Road.

The 44km bike ride starts at 8:30am and finishes at Fernvale Sports Park, Brouff Road.
Are eBikes allowed?Use of eBikes is permitted for the bike leg of the event.

SHUTTLE BUS

Can I take the bus to the 3km start?Shuttle buses depart Fernvale Sports Park and Clock Park, Lowood to the 3km start every ten minutes, starting from 7:20am, you do not need to book. Only those registering for the 44km bike ride will need to confirm whether they require a place on the bus.
Can I take the bus to the 8km start?Shuttle buses depart Fernvale Sports Park to the 8km start every ten minutes, starting from 7:20am, you do not need to book. Only those registering for the 44km bike ride will need to confirm whether they require a place on the bus.
I am not registered to run. Can I still take the bus?Attendees not participating in a run or ride are welcome to take the shuttle bus.
Can I take the bus to the 44km bike start from Fernvale Sports Park? Do I need to book?A place on the shuttle bus from Fernvale Sports Park to the 44km bike ride start in Esk must be booked through the online registration process.

Seats are limited and key times are as follows:
6:15am – load bikes at Fernvale (30 mins required)
6:45am – depart Fernvale to Esk
7:15am – begin unload at Esk
7:30am onwards – participant bib collection and briefing before race begins at 8:30am
How long does the bus take from Fernvale to Esk?Approximately 25-40 minutes

BIBS

Where are the bib collection points for the 44km bike event?Bibs can be collected on Saturday, 20 July between 10am and 12pm from the Lowood Customer Service Centre on Michel Street, or on Sunday, 21 July between 7:00am and 8:00am at bike start line in Esk. If possible, we highly recommend collecting your bib on the Saturday.

Where are the bib collection points for the 3km and 8km events?Bibs for the 3km and 8km walk/run can be collected on Saturday, 20 July between 10am and 12pm from the Lowood Customer Service Centre on Michel Street, or on Sunday, 21 July between 7am and 8:30am at 8km start line, Clock Park, Lowood. If possible, we highly recommend collecting your bib on the Saturday.

Can I collect my race bib before the event day?Bibs can be collected the day before the event, on Saturday 20 July from the Lowood Customer Service Centre on Michel Street between 10am and 12pm. We highly recommend this option, if possible.

PARKING

Is there parking available?There is no parking available at the 3km start line. Participants must catch a bus from the Fernvale Sports Park or 8km start (Clock Park, Lowood) to the 3km start.

FERNVALE SPORTS PARK PARKING
Parking for the event at the Fernvale Sports Park will be limited. The Fernvale Country Markets will be running concurrently to the SRTC on the Fernvale State School grounds. See Fernvale sports parking map for further information.

LOWOOD PARKING
Participants of the 3km and 8km run or walk are encouraged to park in Lowood.
There will be off street carparking available via the Clock Park carpark and Peace Street carparks in Lowood – please see Lowood parking maps 1 map 2 for further details.

ESK PARKING
Participants of the bike ride are encouraged to park in the Somerset Civic Centre carpark or Pipeliner Park overflow carpark. Both carparks are located off Esk Hampton Road. See Esk parking map for further information

MERCHANDISE

Is there merchandise available?There will be the opportunity to perchase a Somerset Rail Trail Classic tee shirt during the registration process, the cost is $29.

You can collect your event shirt when you collect your bib on either Saturday or Sunday at Lowood Customer Service Centre on Michel Street. You must collect your shirt prior to your race, there will be no collection at the finish line.
